I am not fully convinced, by everything he says, but overall I’d say that I want to be a multisensory being over a five-sensory being… who wouldn’t? To clarify, generally, we believe we are a five-sensory personality, and see ourselves as a human body with five senses, hearing, seeing, smelling, touching and tasting. But in this book Gary Zukav takes us on a revolutionary journey to a higher level of awareness of a multisensory being. To be truthful I believe we have all experienced this level however briefly during our lifetime here on earth.

Multisensory

What is a multisensory being? A multisensory human uses the five senses but also is aware of his non-physical reality. Perception beyond what can be seen, heard, tasted, touched, and smelled. This is where love, the joyful peaceful non-judgmental unconditional type of love, is hiding within you, within all of us. It needs to be awaked for you to start the journey back to your Authentic Self. I think we all know this love intrinsically but we sometimes get confused, or at least I do, and then when something doesn’t work and my belief is tested, and all the cards fall over again, you, me, we, have to relearn how to love ourselves so that we can love others unconditionally without judgement.

The Seat of the Soul

This book has sold millions of copies with some good and some not so good reviews. In my humble opinion, the book introduces Gary’s unique perspective of spirituality. I liked that it follows the same direction as some of my favourite spiritual authors (Paulo Coehlo, Marianne Williamson, Eckhart Tolle and Deepak Chopra to name a few) if not exactly the same path.

The book has sixteen chapters and sixteen questionnaires just to make sure you understand the concept. It delves into everything from Intuition, Karma, Thought, to my favourite section “POWER”. This is the soul of the book that covers Human and Spiritual Psychology, Illusion and Trust. The core ingredient as always in any spiritual book is “LOVE”

“Changing the world begins with the very personal process of changing yourself, the only place you can begin is where you are, and the only time you can begin is always now.”

He has appeared more than twenty-five times on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Gary grew up in the Midwest of the USA, graduated from Harvard University, and was a Special Forces (Green Beret) officer in Vietnam before writing his first book. Synopsis

‘A very important book’ Paulo Coehlo

‘The Seat of the Soul changed the way I see myself. It changed the way I view the world’ Oprah Winfrey

This iconic book encourages you to become the authority in your own life. It will change the way you see the world, interact with other people, and understand your own actions and motivations. In it, Gary Zukav takes you on a penetrating exploration of the new phase that humanity has entered: one where harmony, cooperation, sharing and reverence for life become more important than the ability to manipulate and control. Using his scientist’s eye and philosopher’s heart, Zukav shows us how to participate fully in this evolution, enlivening our everyday activities and all our relationships with meaning and purpose.

“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. You receive from the world what you give to the world.”
