Camping Cabopino is situated just east of the resort towns of Marbella and Puerto Banus and west of Fuengirola in the province of Malaga, Southern Spain. We were here in January 2019. An ideal campsite to explore this beautiful coastline. Access to the campsite is off the A7 on the N340, see Google map below.

Camping Cabopine

Camping Cabopino is a large campsite with lots of huge semi-trailer type motorhomes. It seems to be busy all year round and not surprisingly so. Lots of foreigners that don’t speak English 😂. In conversation with a lovely German couple that did speak the lingo while we discussed the various nationalities on site. Stated that the English and French think they are special but everyone else is normal 😂.

We camped there for a couple of weeks in mid to late January 2019.  Check out the great facilities on their website, great for kids.  We really enjoyed our stay with the heated indoor swimming pool and the long walks along the boardwalk. that runs kilometres along the waterfront towards Fuengirola.

I found the campsite tariffs very reasonable at 20 euros per night. The park was busy with northerners heading for the warmth of the sun.  Average temperatures in January range from a high of 16 to a low of 8 degrees celsius. The weather was mild and sunny for most of our stay.

Lidl and Mercadona Supermarkets are nearby. There is a nice restaurant and takeaway on site. Nextdoor is the Cabopino Golf Club with lots of new apartment and villa developments around it. In fact, most golf courses scattered along the costa del sol have developments attached. A bit too high end for us.

Marbella, Puerto Banus, Fuengirola

Three must-visit towns close by. 1. The old town of Marbella is a great walk meandering through the narrow streets, with no traffic. 2. Puerto Banus has must-see marina filled with expensive yachts, expensive shops, Restaurants and Bars. 3. Fuengirola is a little larger than the others and has major shopping centres and the historical 12th century medieval Moorish Sohail Castle. Click here to read more about the Costa del Sole.

You really have to allow a day for each visit.
